Words are all I have...

Hello lovely Lara

Absolutely loving the invitation! Thanks so much. Agree that more detail in the invite would look good. I'm not worried about overcrowding it, I think if there are lots of different things going on in the design it adds to the overall narrative and intrigue. more the merrier in fact! loving the tree, could be push the castle to the left and put another one on the right hand side? Add in some flowers on the left hand side? flowers are good. add in a boat/canoe/surfboard on the sea?

Would it be possible to make the edging border the same size as the edging on the heart?

On the wording front (you'd not believe how blooming contentious this has been!) we have the following:

could you mock up a centred version and also a justified one - I tried doing this in word but couldn't get the desired effect to show you. I like the idea of the text making a square. wondered what that would look like.

was thinking about it how it will come together - if there was a fold in the card with the design on the front and then the wording 'inside'. also like using a ribbon though though because the design is quite intricate perhaps a ribbon might be over the top. need to decide on colour still...

No text please, we're British

Hullo folks, I need the text to finish off the invite. Can you send through the exact text you want? this is a bit what it looks like now - any comment suggestions please? Not sure about a few things, think it needs more detail but also don't want to over do it and also need to fic some of the waves as they've gotten a mis-shapen x

progress...

Hi Folks, love all the lists. Am working on a drawing which will lend itself well to including most of these things. Die cutting is still definitely an option and have found a few suppliers who will cut bespoke plates - just need to get some prices from them .

some good ideas on here http://tutorialblog.org/creative-custom-die-cuts-on-business-cards/

thought i'd list some of the peeps i need to contact below so i have them all in one place. there was this really great company who did exactly what we're looking for - Go Kreate, but i think they've closed down as i can't find them anywhere and their website is redundant. Will keep ing looking though as price could still be an issue (or not!) anyway i found them on a forum http://www.craftsforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=6578 so will keep searching. xx

NOTE: If i did these again I'd do them individually and not try to cram them into a 3 hour printing slot!

Also - here's the Rob Ryan one you were talking about...
http://rob-ryan.blogspot.com/

I spoke to Tara at work who's friend had that lazer cut invite I showed you - and turns out she had to borrow lots of favours to get it done as it was pricey. Like you said.

How does the cut out block option work out? Would we able to tie in a couple of different items, like order of service, thank yous?

More Chip Fork Thoughts

What about doing the print in a brown color, like what jokes on lollipop sticks used to look like?
Or maybe even lollipop sticks would be a better idea as they are a little bigger and you could get more info on!!
